The first group of warriors we went out have reported back to me that they have found some ancient ruins. I have instructed them to search these ruins in the hopes that they will find the secrets of an ancient civilization or perhaps the remnants of some ancient civilization that may wish to join the Glorious Chinese Empire. These ruins are within a dense forest so it is no wonder they have been lost to time. The timber should prove useful as the empire grows. We have begun preparations for expanding the empire to a second city, but with how amazing our Empire is, it will take a while to have all the supplies ready. In the meanwhile we continue to explore this land.

The warriors we sent to the north have reported that they have found tundra and a city-state known as Jerusalem although they have not yet made contact. (Ugh, I’m in the North in both games! At least I’m further south in this one) They have been instructed to continue to scout for useful land for expansion. Hmm….scout. I like the sound of that. Perhaps we should have some men more lightly equipped to serve the purpose of exploring the land so these warriors can better protect the Empress at her palace.

Our explorations seems to have revealed that to the West of us is more likely to be a grand ocean than a lake. Perhaps we will continue to gain intelligence on this matter.

The second dimension of the Amazing Chinese Empire explored a set of ruins and found a very important technology. Our finest philosophers are working to incorporate what we have learned. I was delighted to hear that they have found yet another set of ancient ruins. I hope to find even more technologies lost to time.

My men have found an incredible location in which water erupts from the ground with great force. Our Empress, in her infinite wisdom, has named it Old Faithful. That the gods have given us such a glorious omen has increased the happiness of our people. They have become happy enough to forget we live in the nearly barren, frozen wasteland. Perhaps the gods will yet smile upon us.
