Civilization 5 – against Dave – people from ancient ruins join the Chinese Empire – 3220 BC

One of the ancient ruins explored by our soldiers had a group of uncivilized survivors. Seeing the awesome nature of our forces convinced them it would be in their best interest to join the Chinese Empire. Their extra labor was quite welcome.

Civilization 5 – against Dave – Warriors locate barbarian camp – 3220 BC

Our warriors trekking to the north found two barbarian encampments. In order to keep these marauders from pillaging our sacred territory we shall have to destroy this encampment when the solders return from scouting.

Civilization 5 – against Dave – First Social Policy – Liberty – 3100 BC

As the Glorious Chinese Empire seeks to expand quickly so as to bring more of this land under the rule of our wonderful Empress, we have chosen to pursue Liberty as our first guiding principle. Our philosophers tell us that this will cause our citizens to speed up their work on producing new buildings as well as training and equipping settlers and workers.

Civilization 5 – against Dave – Meet first other Civ, the Dirty Celts – 3100 BC

A representative of another civilization, The Celts, met up with one of our exploratory military units. They mistakenly told our soldiers we were in their lands, despite nary a city of theirs in sight. They seem quite annoying. I may have to recommend to the Empress that we show them what Chinese soldiers can do.

Civilization 5 – against Dan and Dave – Scouts reach the coast – 3700 BC

In the other dimension, it is only the year 3700 BC, but this Chinese Empire was quicker to listen to my exhortations of lightly equipping some citizens as scouts and sending them to explore rather than sending the solders we need to defend the homeland. These scouts sent back word they had reached the coast. It appears that not only are we in the North, but we may also be isolated on a continent. If this is true, it may help our empire to grow uncontested and balance out the fact that our first city is so far North.
