A bearded leader of some so-called civilization met with our Beneficent Empress, Wu Zetian. At the time we did not know where his cities lay.

Savages attempted to attack Beijing, but we destroyed them by bombarding them from the city gates. We shall soon have to send an army to destroy their camp.

We finally finished organizing the group of citizens who would set off and found a new city for the glory of our glorious empire. The borders of our Empire continue to cover more land and civilize more of the world.

Our philosophers came up with the idea of something called a “farm”. They assure us this will allow us to bring in more food to allow the empire to grow more quickly.

Our scouts reported back that they had found the borders of this so-called Egyptian empire. We shall see if they continue to encroach on our goddess-given land and if they need to learn the error of their ways.

Finally, our social philosophers came up with a new idea for governing the Empire, Republic. By created a senate and allowing the people to provide advice to our Empress, they have become more productive. Our philosophers explain this is because, in believing they have a say in government and a stake in the empire, they work harder. This pleases the Empress.

In the alternate universe, the Chinese Empire decided to pursue the idea of Liberty as it tends to make for more productive citizens.
