Visited this National Park last Sunday. It is pretty beautiful scenery. I’d probably rank it a 7 out of 10. It’s a very nice walking trail. Here are some of the pictures I took last week.

I absolutely hate the rest room by my new office. It was clearly designed by someone with a Catbert-like hatred of employees. Either that or it was designed by someone with the sanity of the guests at the tea party in Alice in Wonderland.

Pretty much all of my hatred for the rest room revolves around the washing up phase. There are three sinks there. The left sink opens like any sane sink in the USA - counter-clockwise. The right sink, however, opens clockwise. So right off the bat, depending on which sink you use, you will probably end up looking like a fool who doesn’t know which way to turn the knob to turn on the water. And then turning it off again often has me first opening the water even more.

I just upgraded Andrew’s blog and his went much, much smoother than mine! That’s a good thing because I had left him behind in WP 1.5 because I was scared of messing up his blog. Now he’s caught up with WP 2.3.

One long standing request on the Vimeo forums was for Vimeo to adopt some features from flickr; namely sets and groups. Well, Vimeo decided to mix it up and create a hybrid all their own. Dubbed Channels, they are an interesting mechanism. A user creates a channel and then the user can add his own videos to that channel as well as the videos of anyone else he thinks matches the channel criteria. So it’s like a set, but you can add others so it’s like a group, but only you are allowed to add in videos. I think it’s annoying that only the channel moderator can add new videos. However, I do like a lot of the extra features they added such as blogs and RSS feeds. I’ve wanted a way to blog within vimeo about vimeo-specific things that were just way too specific to mention in this blog.

All I know is that this guy has a really high electric bill. I really love stuff like this. I used to have a blue light similar to one of the ones in this room, but it burned out.

I had the ramart theme for over 2 years, since announcing it in this post. I’ve had it for practically the entire life of this blog, so I thought it would be fitting to record how it looked. Perhaps I can go back to it if I can convince someone to redo it as a Wordpress 2.3 compliant theme or perhaps it’s time to move on. I haven’t really decided just yet.
