The Flying Harpy Session 04: Back in Town

We hauled all our treasure onto the ship and gave the captain what was due as members of the ship.

Ghada tries to intimidate the pirates to get to keep more of the booty. The captain smiles and says “no”. The rest of us split our booty - 132 GP each.

As we get closer to the shore we see that the Port of Stannisgard is on fire. A red dragon came and attacked the city. (Visandred is name of dragon)

Scrabble joins a water brigade to help put out the fires. Took 12 hours to put out the fire. (Got +1 renown with townsfolk) The party goes to back to the ship to sleep and update the captain on what happened. Supposedly the dragon that attacked has been dead for 100 yrs.

Scrabble goes to the tavern and asks which direction the dragon went. He is told north and no one knows where it is lairing. Flint asks an old dwarf if they remember when the dragon was killed. He says back then it used to lair in the Blodejord Mountains.

Scrabble advises caution in dealing with the dragon as we find out it’s an ancient red dragon. It’s not reasonable we could fight it any time soon. A page arrives at the tavern and summons the party to go see the Jarl.

They arrive and Flint lets him know that we completed the quest and asked for the reward. The Jarl asked what was going on to keep and Scrabble regales him with a song about adventure. (rolls a 22 performance) The Jarl calls forth a thrall who brings forth a chest with 500GP (as promised) and he also invites us to a feast. The jarl asks Scrabble to perform at the feast.

After everyone gets cleaned up, they go to the feast and it’s a party to honor those who died in the dragon attack. A human challenges Flint to a flyting.
