I ran the Stonewalkers Campaign for the Cosmere TTRPG on FoundryVTT: My Thoughts

Topics in the video:
- My background as a GM
- The players we had at the table
- Scheduling
- My thoughts on the story aspects of Stonewalkers
- A small section about how “on rails” I ran the campaign
- My thoughts on the game mechanics of the Cosmere TTRPG
- What my players thought about the lore drops and artwork
- How well Metalworks did with the FoundryVTT port
The story section obviously has spoilers that players might not want to hear. If you pay attention to the video (rather than have it on in the background) there will be some spoilers as I have various combat encounters as run in FoundryVTT while I’m talking over those visuals.
For some examples of how my players surprised me with their choices, there’s this post I wrote back in April.
I was asked what modules I had installed. Other than the official Brotherwise modules, I have the following installed on my FoundryVTT server:
- Argon CombatHUD (Cosmere-RPG) - you don’t see this in my video, but it gives the players buttons for their attacks so that they don’t need to have the character sheet up
- Cosmere RPG: Community Dice-So-Nice THemes
- Cosmere Useful Macros (But I don’t think I did anything with this)
- Dice So Nice!
- Dice Tray
- Token HUD Wildcard
- Tokenizer
The first five videos on this playlist are about how to use FoundryVTT with The Cosmere. I’ll probably make an updated one when Mistborn comes out and use all the new things I learned while running the Stonewalkers game.
I mentioned in my video that I had some difficulties with goals and rewards. I was directed on reddit to check out this video on the topic:
