After our long rest in the library, Flint suggested we explore further. However, when we tried to go down the next hallway, a powerful wind blew us back. Flint was immediately blown back. Aghell was able to stay there, but became exhausted. Scrabble suggested that killing the creature might remove the spell on the hallway. The crew agreed with that and decided that we would use what we learned to kill the firegeist. We filled buckets from the ship with seawater and hauled back into the room with the monster.

We spilled more water on the floor than we got on the fiend, but thanks to some of our party using cold spells to stun the creature we were able to defeat it. After that we were able to enter the hallway and find a room filled with dwarf skeletons.
When we went the other way up the hallway we found ourselves in a fight with witchlights. They blinded Scrabble and Ghada during the fight. Scrabble still decided to run forward and cast thunderwave to damage many of them. Ghada chose to fight in the dark and accidentally knocked Scrabble unconscious. Eventually Miralou was able to revive Scrabble.
Once the witchlights were dealt with, there was only one room left to clear to fulfill the contract - the “U”-shaped hallway with armor that the team chose to avoid last time. The group chose to take a long rest in the library before exploring the room. Flint attempted to open the chest in the room and the armor came to life. After that battle Flint was able to pick the lock and find a nice suit of armor inside.
Now the team just needs to head back to the original town to claim their rewards.
Player Commentary
I’m trying to be more active in the fighting than I was with the previous group. However, Scrabble continues to be easy to knock out with his measly 13 HP. Looking forward to hopefully leveling up to 3 after this adventure is done.
