I chose to go with Kargoth Stormcleaver, Orc Battlemaster. It was a tough choice, but I liked the idea of the guy who looks like a brute, but actually hones his mind.

Story

8 Jan

I fight along with many goblins. The little ones around me are fierce, one should not underestimate them. The wall falls and arrows rain upon us. I use my training and naturally avoid the arrows. They are as harmful to me as the rain itself.

As the battle continues I notice a wounded goblin, I free him from the rubble and he fights by my side.

The battle temporarily slows and I decide to lean into the fact that I’m a large, scary orc. I intimidate my foes and they decide to attack someone else. (+2 to defense on 9 Jan)

9 Jan

Tobin Goldleaf, halfling Cleric and one of the Heroes of the Light, kills many on the battlefield. He turns his attention to me and starts to cast a spell to unleash radiant energy from his god.

A surge of divine energy slams into me and I scream in rage. (-1HP)

That holy light surges over me. I grit my teeth and endure.

We begin to fight!

I swing my sword at him, but he parries. He attacks me and I take a small knick on my shoulder from the divine light (-1HP)

Once again I swing and once again I’m rebuffed. He uses his magic again. This time I’m able to roll out of the way and not take any damage.

I hope for a miracle!

10 Jan

Thankfully for me, Gorlash the Merciless steps forward to engage Tobin. Gorlash fights fiercely, but eventually falls.

Tobin turns away to deal with others, as I lock eyes with Gorlash. I MUST reach him. I begin to clear the space between us! I push forward, dodging strikes and parrying desperate blows. I break through to my commander.

He speaks his final words - telling me that I must get word to the Overlord so that he can deal with these attackers. He also gives me a satchel filled with a healing potion, combat tonic, and dragon’s fire.

I deliver the final blow to my commander so that he can die with a warrior’s dignity. (Notoriety +1)
